home, heart, hero is a collective meditation, where ‘home’ is built out of elusive memories, fractured realities, and the yearning for stability after loss, through structure, material, and body. In this public act of molting, dancers find comfort in repetitive movement rituals and words, as a process of healing, memorializing, and an act of rebirth. The performers impart the characteristics of heroism onto newly formed structures of self such as virtue, durability, hope, and endurance.
